A translator needs to approach the untranslated words, which are used on Internet, more minutely than the words used in general documents. Through investigation, this can suggest the following methods of translation for the untranslated words used on Internet. Firstly, it is not necessary to separately translate the vocabularies that are generally used in Korea, including the cultures of their language. To find the Korean words suitable for the vocabularies can make their meanings awkward and further, can make it difficult to deliver the correct meanings. As far as the readers of a target text can accept, to use a source text is more recommendable for accurate communication than the translated text. Secondly, if Korean cultures interfere in the untranslated words and their meanings are changed, a translator should explain their meanings and background which are generally understood in Korea to the readers through footnotes. In case phonemes and symbols are English, but their meanings are not understood in the English-speaking world, a translator needs to additionally explain them to deliver the meanings. Thirdly, a translator should play the role of purifying untranslated words , which have Korean alternative words, by translating them. This found that in case the untranslated word and a Korean word can be used together for the same object, the untranslated word is preferably used. If the use of the untranslated words which have Korean alternative words is increasingly preferred, it is difficult for a translator to judge the boundary of the translation of a foreign language, that is, the vocabularies that don’t need to be translated. However, if there are Korean alternative words, it is right to translate the untranslated words into Korean. A translator is a medium for communication and delivery of cultures. If untranslated words are continuously used without a translators’ linguistic and cultural re-interpretation, it can break down not only the Korean language, but also the peculiarity and identity of Korean cultures. It is impossible to block the texts and cultures that are absorbed through Internet at a time, but a translator should correctly understand the characteristics of the untranslated words used on Internet and then, judge whether to translate them or not.
본 연구는 인터넷 공간에서 사용되는 미 번역어를 정성적, 정량적으로 조사 분석하여 이들 어휘의 의미 변이를 연구하고 번역어 필요성을 제시하는데 있다. 미 번역어란 외국어, 외래어는 ... 본 연구는 인터넷 공간에서 사용되는 미 번역어를 정성적, 정량적으로 조사 분석하여 이들 어휘의 의미 변이를 연구하고 번역어 필요성을 제시하는데 있다. 미 번역어란 외국어, 외래어는 물론 한글과 외래어, 합성어를 일컫는다. 인터넷 미 번역어 사용 실태조사는 의사소통이 가장 활발하게 이루어지고 있는 인터넷 포털 사이트에 유입된 미 번역어를 조사하여 실생활 어휘 중 외국어 유입 정도를 확인하는데 목적이 있다. 즉 번역과정을 거치지 않는 외국어가 사용되는 영역과 사용량을 검토하고 이들 어휘의 쓰임새에 따른 의미 변이에 따라 적절한 번역의 필요성과 방법을 제시한다. 본 연구를 위해 외래어와 외국어의 키워드 검색을 통해 인터넷은 물론 일반 언론기관, 기업체, 공공 기관에서 사용된 사례를 조사하였다. 첫째로 인터넷 공간에서 사용되는 미 번역어, 즉 원어가 한국에서 사용되면서 발생하는 의미 변이를 조사하고, 둘째로 실생활에서 외래어의 사용 정도를 정성적, 정량적으로 분석하였다. 셋째로 국립 국어원에서 실시한 ‘외국어, 외래어 사용에 대한 국민 의식 조사’ 결과를 바탕으로 현대 한국인의 문화와 정서를 반영한 적절한 번역의 중요성을 인식하고 적절한 번역을 통한 한글 고유성과 정체성 보전의 필요성을 확인하는데 궁극적인 목적이 있다. 전 세계 어디서든 누구나 이용 가능한 인터넷을 통해 기존 무역 거래를 통한 문화와 언어의 교류와는 비교가 안될 만큼 빠르고 광대하게 교류가 발생하고 있다. 전 세계는 막대한 교역량만큼 외국 문화를 흡수하고 있다. 또 영어 제국주의와 영어 공용어 논쟁이 가열되고 있는 가운데 인터넷보급과 확산으로 향후 생존 가능한 언어가 거의 없을 것이라는 예상도 있다. 현 시점에서 한글을 보전하고 발달시키기 위해서는 불특정 다수의 의사소통이 이루어지는 인터넷 공간에서 미 번역어 사용 실태를 조사하고 이들 어휘 사용 과정에서 발생하는 의미 변이에 따라 적절한 번역이 필요하다. 인터넷 문서의 미 번역어 연구 필요성은 다음과 같다. 첫째, 국어에서 외국어 유입 수준을 객관적인 지표를 통해 검증하기 위함이다. 국가 간 문화와 언어의 유출입이 활발한 온라인 시대에 한글은 얼마나 언어적 문화적 영향을 받고 있는지 파악할 필요가 있다. 한국에서 인터넷 사용이 본격화 된 것은 10년 남짓한 짧은 기간이지만 신조어와 외국어 사용 비중은 어느 의사소통 매개체보다 높다. 이 점은 여러 언론 매체의 사설과 기사를 통해 사회 전반적으로 인식되고 있으나 인터넷에서 사용되는 외래어와 외국어의 쓰임에 대해 구체적으로 연구한 자료는 찾기 어렵다. 온라인 공간에서 외래어와 외국어를 포함한 미 번역어사용 실태 조사를 통해 본 연구가 한글의 변화는 물론 외래 언어 유입에 따른 사회 문화적 영향을 향후 통사적으로 연구 할 수 있는 자료가 될 것으로 예상한다. 둘째, 적절한 번역을 위해 미 번역어에 대한 번역가의 한글 순화어 사용의 필요성을 확인한다. 광속으로 변화 발전하는 사회, 경제, 산업, 문화 전반에 신조어 또한 셀 수없이 생성되고 있다. 이들 어휘는 적절한 번역을 통해 한글로 변환하려는 노력 없이 외국어, 외래어 그대로 표기되고 있다. 개인 홈페이지나 블로그, 채팅 공간 등 개인적인 사교활동이 이루어지는 온라인 공간에서 사용되는 용어는 차치하더라도 동시에 다수의 사람들의 의사소통이 실시간으로 이루어지는 주요 포털 사이트에서 사용되는 미 번역어는 검증 할 필요가 있다. 셋째, 인터넷에서 사용되는 미 번역어 번역 여부에 대한 기준의 필요성을 검토한다. 산업의발달에 따른 외국어의 생성과 유입을 막을 수 없으나 가능한 외국어는 한글 순화어를 통해 번역되는 것이 국어 발전을 위해 바람직하다. 이에 따라 번역가는 대량으로 밀려오는 외국어의 거름장치 역할을 수행하고 신조어유입으로 인한 급속한 국어 변화 속도를 조절 할 수 있다. 이는 한글 정체성과 보전을 위한 충분한연구와 검토가 이루어지는 가운데 국어는 물론 한국 문화와 정체성 보전을 위한 방향을 모색 가능하게 한다. ，韩语论文网站，韩语论文题目 |
