The purpose of this study is to construct and suggest the smart phone contents about pain expression terms for foreigners who live in Korea and have low-level Korean proficiency through meaning educational approach with Korean terms aimed at Korean pain expression terms which Koreans have mainly used. First of all, Korean pain expression terms presented in the preceding studies were collected. Among them, Korean pain expression terms which were resonable to pass on to Korean learners were chosen. And pain expression terms were divided into three pain types such as somatic pain, visceral pain and neuropathic pain. Based on examples, Korean pain expression terms classified according to pain types were investigated whether each of pain expression terms had co-occurrences relationship with any pain areas in variety dialogue situations. Also it was examined which adverbial phrase coexisted with pain expression terms in the sentence. On the basis of these semantic analysis, the contents about Korean pain expression terms dictionary for foreigners who live in Korea and could use it in actual situation were constructed and suggested. ‘Pain expression terms' are the most basically descriptive vocabulary when the people appeal their body disorder. If some one would like to have the effective medical services and formulation, one should express 'pain' concretely. Ironically, however, words about expressing pain are about personal and subjective experiences. Therefore people often speak to rely on their physical and concrete experiences. In other words, it is seemed that expressing about pain is consisted of the basis of experiential evidence in one sprachraum. However, in case of people who live in a foreign country and are not native speakers, they could feel a difficulty in expressing their pain appropriately and accurately because of the lack of experiential evidence like above. If some one could not express their pain clearly, one would be difficult to solve the problematic situation occurred in the body. There are lots of foreigners who experience those problems now in Korea. Therefore, in this study, the contents which could help foreigners in actual communication situation are judged to need for some one who lacks the scheme of linguistic discourse situation in Korean-speaking country and could not express Korean pain expression terms appropriately. The situational context information must be needed for clearly understanding Korean pain expression terms. It could be the movie clip or sample sentences or other terms coexisted in the sentences. In order to suggest the meaning of Korean pain expression terms by systematically presenting all of these semantic information, the dictionary content study of Korean pain expression terms based on smart phone was implemented. In the chapter Ⅰ, the need for building and suggesting the contents of Korean pain expression terms and the purpose of this were determined. Also the studies about Korean pain expression terms which had been implemented so far and the previous studies about content utilizing research in Korean language education were examined and arranged. The consist of this study and the list of Korean pain expression terms were suggested. In the chapter Ⅱ, the range of Korean terms meaning education which was the theoretical Background of this was examined. Then explicit and implicit ways which were the presentation method of Korean terms meaning were investigated. In the chapter Ⅲ, the concepts about Korean pain expression terms were described concretely. And pain expression terms were organized by setting the meaning categories in three types of pain. The relationship was revealed which pain areas coexisted with pain expression terms in the meaning categories based on 『21st Century SejongPlan Modern Basic Korean Corpora』 and the examples of existing dictionaries in the situational context and sentences. In the chapter Ⅳ, preferentially, the contents subject was introduced for constructing the contents of Korean pain expression terms. And the necessity and suitability of this contents were mentioned. Also it was described that the proposal direction of the contents about Korean pain expression terms was divided into external and internal aspects. And by setting the contents configuration diagram, the display of the actual contents was configured on the basis of this. In the chapter Ⅴ, lastly, the breaking point of this was revealed and the suggestion for subsequent studies was described.
