한국어에 대한 관심이 높아지면서 한국어 학습자를 대상으로 한 한국어 교육 방법에 대한 연구가 다양해지고 있다. 이렇게 한국어 교육 분야에서 다양한 연구가 이루어지고 있음에도 불구하고 외국인이 한국어를 배울 때 겪는 외래어 문제에 대한 연구 성과는 그리 높지 않다. 하지만 외래어가 한국어에서 차지하는 비중이 높고 한국어 학습자들이 외래어 학습에 어려움을 겪는 현실을 생각할 때 외래어 교육에 대한 심도 있는 논의를 할 때라 생각된다.
단순 암기식의 학습방법으로는 외래어 습득에서 그 성과를 기대하기 어렵다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 외래어를 한국어 학습자에게 효율적으로 교수·학습할 수 있는 방안에 대해 모색해 보고자 한다.
이를 위해 가장 먼저 외래어 표기법의 역사를 규범 제정 이전과 이후로 나누어 살펴봄으로써 외래어 표기법의 의미 규명을 하고자 하였다. 그리고 현행 <외래어표기법>(1986)이 어떤 과정을 거쳐 개정되었는지, 이러한 과정에서 중점 사항은 무엇이었는지, 또 외래어와 실제 발음과는 어떤 차이가 있는지도 알 수 있었다. 아울러 현행 <외래어 표기법>(1986)이 안고 있는 문제점을 살펴보고, 이런 문제점을 어떻게 수정·보완해야 한국어 교육에서 학습자들이 혼란을 줄이고 학습할 수 있을지에 대해서도 살펴보았다. 이를 토대로 외래어 사용을 아래와 같이 제안해 보고자
한다.
첫째, 규정 표기와 관용표기(현실 발음 표기)의 서로 다른 사용이 많으므로 외래어 교육을 할 때 이를 숙지시켜야 하며 언론 및 기업에서는 규정 표기를 준수하도록 해야 할 것이다. 둘째, 외래어 표기법 규정에 발음에 대한 규정이 없으므로 외래
어의 발음 표기를 상세하게 규정함으로써 원어와 발음이 다른 경우의 표기 방법에 대해 학습 시켜야 할 것이다. 셋째, 외래어를 교육할 때에 <외래어 표기법>에 대한 사전 지식을 전달하는 것이 필요하며, 한국어 학습자의 특성과 수준에 맞게 <외래어 표기법>의 내용을 교수·학습해야 하고, 실질적인 외래어를 함께 제시함으로써 실생활에서의 외래어 사용법과 표기법 상에서 오는 괴리감을 줄여야할 것이다.
향후 외래어의 유입은 더욱 많아질 것이며, 한국어에서도 외래어의 양은 더욱 방대해질 것이다. 본 연구에서 제시한 방안을 참고한 외래어 교육방안이 한국어 학습자에게 도움이 되기를 기대한다.

so on, Korean has borrowed a large number of words from Chinese, Mongolian,
Japanese and English. Vocabulary is the foundation and the substantive content of language. Vocabulary teaching is a very important part in the teaching of foreign languages. As for Korean, Loan words take a large proportion(10%) and
they are the key points and difficult points for Korean learners. Because of the differences in pronunciation and spelling, Korean learners usually find it difficult to learn Korean loanwords, and they are likely to make mistakes which, unless corrected at proper time, will bring Korean learners troubles. For that reason,
this research combines qualitative and quantitative methods and does a survey
on Korean loanword spelling of the Korean majors. This study aims to present
the forms of the mistakes and explain the reasons for the mistakes when
Korean majors spell the loan words, which can help to find the solution and the
teaching strategies. This research will not only give guidance to Korean learners
in China, but also help to improve the Korean teaching in China.
This thesis is divided into five parts. The first chapter which is the forward introduces the research background, purpose, prior studies, as well as significance and methods. The second chapter, theoretical background part
introduces the history of foreign language notation, loan word mark basic principle and points, etc. The third chapter analyses Korean textbooks. Including
the origin of foreign words in the Korean textbooks, the classification of loan words and the marked change. The fourth chapter introduces the foreign
language education in the education program. Introducing the foreign language
teaching, guidance and the education effect. The fifth chapter is the conclusion
part, summarized the main achievements of this study and the research on foreign language tag.
