본 연구는 여성결혼이민자 대상의 한국어 교실에서 딕토글로스 기법을 활용한 이중주어문 수업의 효과를 살펴보는 것을 목적으로 한다. 이를 위해 여성결혼이민자 학습자 집단을 통제집단과 실험집단으로 나누어 딕토글로스를 활용한 이중주어문 수업과 전통적인 PPP 모형을 활용한 이중주어문 수업의 효과를 검증하였다.
이중주어문이 한국어의 독특한 문장 구조로서 한국어 학습자가 학습에 어려움을 겪고 오류를 많이 발생시키고 있는 문법 항목임에도 이중주어문에 대한 이론적 고찰과 교육적인 접근 방법에 대해서는 거의 논의가 안 되어 있는 상태이다. 이에 본 연구에서는 이중주어문에 대한 교수-학습의 필요성에 따라 이중주어문 수업이 한국어 문법 교육 과정에 필요함을 제기하고, 이에 대한 구체적인 교육 방안으로 형태초점교수법(Focus on form)중의 하나인 딕토글로스 기법을 활용한 이중주어문 교육을 제안하였다.
본 연구는 여성결혼이민자를 실험의 대상으로 하였다. 여성결혼이민자는 문법을 배우고 그것을 체계화시키기 전에 가정이나 지역사회에서 구어에 먼저 노출이 되는 경우가 많은데, 이는 이중주어문을 사용하는데 어려움을 겪게 되는 원인이 된다. 본 연구에서는 딕토글로스를 활용한 이중주어문 수업을 여성결혼이민자 한국어 수업에 직접 적용해 보고 그 결과를 논의하였다.
1장에서는 이중주어문에 대한 연구의 필요성과 목적을 밝히고, 본 연구에서 다룰 이중주어문의 범위와 딕토글로스를 활용한 연구방법, 한국어교육에서 이중주어문과 딕토글로스에 관한 선행 연구 등을 다루었다.
2장에서는 이중주어문과 관련된 많은 연구를 통해 이중주어문에 관한 다양한 관점과 논의점 등에 대해서 알아보고 시대별로 정리하였다. 또한 한국어 교육현장에서 이중주어문이 어떠한 방식으로 교육되는지 알아보기 위해 교재 등을 분석하고 이중주어문 교육의 필요성에 대해 문제를 제기하였다. 그리고 형태초점교수법(Focus on form)과 딕토글로스의 특징 및 절차에 대해서도 살펴보았다.
3장에서는 딕토글로스를 활용하여 이중주어문 실험을 진행하는데 있어서 실험 대상과 실험 설계, 실험 절차, 실험 도구, 평가 도구 등에 대해서 기술하였다.
4장에서는 실험 후의 결과를 분석하여 정리하고 이를 통한 실험의 의의를 알아보았다. 통계 분석을 통한 실험 결과는 유의미하게 나왔다. 실험참여자의 인터뷰와 설문조사를 통해 학습자의 입장에서 본 수업 방법에 대한 반응을 살펴보았는데, 정의적인 영역에서도 효과가 있다는 결론이 나왔다.
마지막으로 5장 결론에서는 본 연구를 총정리하고 실험의 의의와 제언 및 한계점 등을 기술하였다.
본 연구는 한국어교육에서 그동안 거의 다루어지지 않았던 이중주어문에 대한 이론적 논의의 필요성을 제기하고 통사적인 접근을 통한 교육방안도 제시하였다. 또한 실험을 통해 이중주어문 수업에 딕토글로스 기법이 효과가 있다는 것도 증명하였다. 이 연구가 이중주어문에 대한 논의를 제기함과 더불어 앞으로 한국어교육현장에서 교수법의 다양한 확장도 이루어지는 계기를 마련할 수 있게 되기를 바란다.

The purpose of this study is to examine the effect of learning the ‘double subjects phrases' of the Korean language, applying Dictogloss, to female marriage immigrants. To verify the effect of learning, female marriage immigrants were divided and tested in two groups. One, called the control group, learned the Korean language through a conventional PPP teaching model, while the other, called the experimental group, learned Korean using Dictogloss.
Even though the ‘double subjects phrases', a unique aspect of Korean grammar, causes a lot of difficulties and mistakes for people learning the Korean language, studies on theoretical considerations and educational approaches for ‘double subjects phrases' are very rare. Owing to the requirements on teaching and learning needs for ‘double subjects phrases', this study suggest to Korean language teachers that how they teach ‘double subjects phrase' applying Dictogloss, one of the teaching skills in ‘Focus of Form'.
Female marriage immigrants were used as the target of this experiment. Generally, they start to learn Korean verbally from their husbands, family members, and local community people, before they study a regular Korean language curriculum. This causes difficulties in learning ‘double subjects phrases'. In this study, to clarify and discuss the effectiveness of learning ‘double subjects phrases' using Dictogloss, the teaching method was applied to a real class.
Chapter 1 : The purpose and necessity of studying ‘double subjects phrases' is demonstrated. The defined scope of ‘double subjects phrases', finding methods of how to use Dictogloss, and searching previous studies about ‘double subjects phrases' and Dictogloss in Korean language class.
Chapter 2 : This chapter investigates various perspectives and issues related to ‘double subjects phrases' through searching and studying many reference s. All of the references are arranged on time line to understand easily. In addition, ‘double subjects phrases' teaching materials are examined to understand how the ‘double subjects phrases' has been taught in Korea and issued necessity that ‘double subjects phrases' must be taught. And the characteristics and process of ‘Focus on Form' and Dictogloss are also investigated.
Chapter 3 : Testing methods for learning ‘double subjects phrase' applying Dictogloss are described including target, design, procedure, tools, and evaluation.
Chapter 4 : Analyzing the test result to find useful meanings in the test. The results show the experiment is working well. Through a statistical analysis of the experimental data, this experiment is revealed useful. Through surveys and interviews of the participants, checking opinions and the effectiveness of the test from the learners point of view this experiment was proven to be efficient in the affective domain too.
Chapter 5 : Summary, meaning, and limitations of this experiment.
This study raises a theoretical discussion and proposes an educational approach for teaching ‘double subjects phrases'. Also, it proved Dictogloss is effective in learn ‘double subjects phrases'. By raising discussions in 'double subjects phrases', this study could contribute to develop various teaching methods in Korean language teaching.
