최근에 불어 온 한류열풍으로 인하여 한국 문화에 대한 관심을 갖는 사람이 늘고 있다. 외국어학습은 단순히 언어적 기술을 습득하는 것이 아니라 의사소통에서 일어난 여러 가지 문제들을 긍정적으로 해결하는 능력을 향상시키는 것이다. 이를 위해 한국 문화를 이해하는 것이 중요하다. 따라서 이러한 문화교육을 위해 외국인들에게 한국에 대한 호기심을 갖게 하고 한국어를 배우고 싶게 만드는 등의 동기부여가 가능한 TV 드라마를 활용하여 이것이 실제 한국어 수업 현장에서 어떠한 문화교육의 모습으로 실현될 수 있는지 가능성을 활용하는데 본 연구의 목적이 있다.
구체적으로 살펴보면, 먼저 Ⅰ장에서는 연구의 목적을 밝히고 선행연구를 검토하여 연구 방법을 제시하였다.
Ⅱ장에서 한국어 교육에서 문화교육의 필요성 및 방향과 의의를 제시하고 한국 드라마의 특징과 영향을 살펴보았다.
Ⅲ장에서는 한국 TV드라마의 선정을 살펴보았다. 드라마 <별에서 온 그대>에 나타난 문화내용 중 언어문화, 생활문화 2가지를 기준으로 드라마 속에 드러난 문화내용을 분석하였다.
Ⅳ장에서는 앞의 설정된 문화내용을 바탕으로 <별에서 온 그대>를 활용한 수업의 실제를 살피기 위해 드라마를 활용한 한국 문화교육의 목표를 설정하고 교수방법으로 수업 모형과 구체적인 교수·학습 방안을 초·중·고급으로 나누어 제시하였다.
아무쪼록 이 연구를 통하여 많은 사람들이 한국 문화를 좀 더 잘 이해하고 나아가서 한국 문화에 대해 더욱 많은 애정과 관심을 가지게 되기를 바란다.

In recent years, as Korean trend spreads, Korean culture is arousing more and more people’s attention. To learn authentic Korean, simple language study is not enough, but a real understanding is essential. Only if the learner actively and optimistically solves all problems in the course of study can he better improve his Korean proficiency. Thus, one should know about Korean culture first before learning Korean fast. To help foreigners better learn Korean culture and enhance their interest in Korean learning, classroom learning atmosphere should be activated. To this end, this thesis takes Korean teleplay as actual field of Korean education to carefully explore and research how to more practically teach Korean culture and help Korean learners better learn Korean.
Specific research methods are introduced as below. First of all, in introduction part of Chapter 1, the necessity and purpose of this research is illustrated. After a careful discussion about reference studies, a brief analysis of the research methods in this thesis is carried out.
In Chapter 2 is an overview of relevanttheory and background, in whichthe necessity of culture education in Korean education and the orientation of future Korean culture education are presented.
In Chapter 3, teleplay is selected as the way of education medium. Moreover, an analysis in two aspects such as language culture and life culture in My Love from another Star is conducted.
In Chapter 4, based on selected content in Chapter 3, teleplay My Love from another Star is researched, including the analysis of its plot as well as the method and program making of Korean culture education.
According to the content of teleplay and cultural factors, this thesis designs culture project and makes specific teaching plan for Korean culture education, which is of great significance to Korean culture education. It is hoped that this thesis will help more people further know and learn Korean culture so that they will like and concern about Korean culture more.
