본 연구는 한국어를 배우는 한국어 학습자들이 어려움을 겪고 있는 관형사형 어미의 사용 및 오류 양상을 분석한 후 형태 초점 교수법을 활용한 효과적인 관형사형 어미 교육 방안을 제시하는 데 목적이 있다. 관형사형 어미는 선어말어미, 종결어미, 연결어미, 관형사형 어미, 명사형 어미중 사용 빈도가 연결어미에 이어 두 번째로 높다. 그러나 개별 문법 항목의 사용 빈도를 계산하면 관형사형 어미는 명사형 어미, 선어말어미, 연결어미, 종결어미에 비해 압도적으로 많이 사용됨을 알 수 있다.
그러나 이와 같은 높은 사용 빈도에도 불구하고 관형사형 어미는 전체 문법 항목 중 오류 발생 빈도 2위를 기록할 정도로 학습자들이 학습과 사용에 어려움을 겪고 있는 항목이다.
본 연구를 위해 외국인 학부, 대학원 유학생과 여성 결혼 이민자의 포커스 그룹 인터뷰 녹화 자료와 전사자료를 바탕으로 관형사형 어미 사용 양상 및 오류 유형을 분석하였다. 이를 바탕으로 학습자들의 장기적인 문법 항목 인식에 도움이 되는 딕토글로스를 활용한 관형사형 어미 교육 방안을 제시하여 학습자들의 관형사형 어미에 대한 유창성과 정확성을 높이고자 하였다.
본 연구는 한국어 학습자들이 관형사형 어미 중 과거시제와 상태동사의 현재 시제의 관형사형 어미 활용에 어려움을 겪고 있음을 인지하여 한국어 학습자들이 관형사형 어미의 올바른 사용을 위한 교수·학습 방안을 제시하였다는 데 의의가 있다 하겠다.

This study would aim to suggest educational method for adnominal suffix which korean language learner have difficulties to study through Focus on Form. Following connective suffix, adnominal suffix is the second most used suffix of prefinal ending, final endings, connective suffix, adnominal suffix and nominalizer ending. But considering frequency of use for each grammatical features, adnominal suffix get heavy use of them.
In spite of frequency of use, korean language learner would make grammatical error for adnominal suffix second frequently in the whole grammatical feature.
For research, this study analyze use aspect of adnominal suffix and error type for korean language learner based on recording data of focus group interview on foreign student for undergraduate or graduate studies and marriage immigrant women. And on the basis of analysis, this study suggest educational measures for adnominal suffix on focus on form.
This study shows that korean language learner have difficulties applicating adnominal suffix of the past tense and the present tense of an adjective. And this study suggest educational measures for adnominal suffix. But it have to constitute study for test a result of education.
