For foreign language learners, the influence of mother tongue or the lack of knowledge of Korean words and grammar, makes it difficult to express their thoughts or intentions while writing. Writing education is divided into literary writing and practical writing, self-introduction letter, as a practical writing, has become more and more important along with the development of writing. Self-introduction is a necessary information which should be provided when entering into a company or a university. However, there is little study on self-introduction, especially the research on the self-introduction letter writing for the purpose of foreigners education. This study aims to develop a guideline for the writing of self-introduction letter which are suitable for Chinese learners who are learning Korean.
In order to develop the guidelines for the self-introduction letter, this study first introduce the theory background of self-introduction. Taking Chinese learners as the objects, this also investigates the necessity and the guiding elements of using a self-introduction guide book and then analyzes the results. In order to grasp the Chinese learners' writing skills, writing sample phase and linguistic characteristics, 20 self-presentations including 10 self-introductions for entering a school and 10 self-introductions for entering a company are analyzed, then the vocabulary and grammars that Chinese people often use are concluded. Finally, the problems and mistakes of these self-presentations are investigated through the contrast of the necessary elements of self-introductions by analyzing the content components and the performance elements.
Based on the systematic analysis of such a system, this study proposes a educational program to improve the self-introduction writing of Chinese learners. This starts the study from the following aspects: the concept of self-presentation, the content components and the performance elements. Since most learners have experienced difficulties in terms of content organization and generation, this study analyzes the educational process by the steps of introduction, planning, content creation and organization, performance, modification, complication and publication. In accordance with these stages, this study finally proposes teaching program which can improve Chinese learners’ writing skills of self-introduction.

외국어를 학습하는 학습자가 글쓰기를 할 때 모국어의 영향이나 한국어의 어휘와 문법 규칙에 대한 지식이 부족함으로 인해 자신의 생각이나 의도를 정확하게 표현하기가 어렵다. 글쓰기 교육은 주로 문학적 글쓰기와 실용적인 글쓰기로 나뉘어 있으며 글쓰기가 중요할수록 자기소개서 쓰기가 실용적인 글쓰기로 매우 중요하다. 자기소개서는 대학(원)입시나 회사의 입사지원서에 필수적으로 요구되는 것이다. 그러나 지금까지 자기소개서 쓰기에 대한 연구가 좀 있는데 외국인을 위한 자기소개서 쓰기 교육에 대한 연구가 별로 없는 실정이다. 따라서 본 연구의 목적은 한국어를 학습한 중국인 학습자들에게 적응할 수 있는 자기소개서 쓰기 지도 방안을 제안하는 데에 있다.
자기소개서 수업 지도 방안을 제안하기 위해 먼저 자기소개서 쓰기 교육의 이론적 배경에 대해 자기소개서의 이론적 배경에 대해 소개하였다. 그리고 중국인 학습자를 대상으로 자기소개서 작성 지도의 필요성과 지도 요소 등에 대해 설문 조사를 하고 설문 조사 결과에 대해 분석하였다. 중국인 학습자들의 쓰기 능력 수준, 쓰기 양상, 언어적 특징을 파악하기 위하여 중국인 학습자들이 작성한 취업용 자기소개서와 진학용 자기소개서 각 10편을 대상으로 학습자들이 자주 사용되는 어휘 및 문법에 대해 정리하여 분석하고 고빈도 어휘 및 고빈도 문법에 관한 예도 같이 제시하였다. 또한 취업용 자기소개서 및 진학용 자기소개서의 내용 요소에 따라 내용 구성 측면과 표현 측면에 대한 분석함으로써 중국인 학습자들이 자기소개서를 작성할 때 나타난 문제점과 오류 실태를 고찰하려고 한다.
이러한 체계적인 분석을 바탕으로 중국인 학습자들의 자기소개서 쓰기 능력을 향상시킬 수 있는 자기소개서 쓰기 교육 내용 및 교육 방법을 제안하였다. 본고에서는 자기소개서의 개념, 내용 구성 요소, 표현 요소 이 세 가지를 교육 내용으로 분석하였다. 그리고 학습자들이 자기소개서를 쓸 때 내용의 조직 및 생성 측면에서 많은 어려움을 겪기 때문에 ‘안내하기, 계획하기, 내용 생성 및 조직하기, 표현하기, 고쳐 쓰기, 완성하고 발표하기’ 6 단계로 교육 과정에 대해 분석하고 차시별로 중국인 학습자들의 자기소개서 쓰기 능력을 향상시킬 수 있는 자기소개서 쓰기 수업 지도안을 제시하였다.
