본 논문은 중국어권 한국어 학습자의 의성어･의태어에 관한 적절한 교육 방안을 찾는 데 목적을 둔다. 의성어･의태어에 대한 이해는 한국어 학습자에게 대부분 부담스러운 영역이며, 특히 뜻글자를 사용하는 중국인 화자의 입장에서는 더욱 접근하기 어려운 범주이다. 중국인 학습자가 한국말을 잘 구사할 수 있어도 한국인처럼 의성어･의태어를 자유자재로 사용하기가 쉽지 않다. 게다가 한국어 상징어를 자국어와 대조 해 공부하는 데 참고할 만한 적절한 교재나 대역사전이 없다는 점은 한국어의 풍부한 상징어를 학습하는 데 제약이 된다. 이런 점에서 본 연구는 한국어 의성어･의태어에 대응하는 중국어의 어휘 범주를 선정하여 대조 연구하고 한국어 의성어･의태어 교육 방안을 제시할 것이다.
제Ⅱ장에서는 한국어와 중국어의 의성어의태어의 개념을 정의한다. 한국어의 의성어･의태어는 어휘수가 많은 뿐만 아니라 다양하게 사용되고 있어 문화가 다른 중국인 학습자가 그 의미를 이해하는 것은 매우 힘든 일이다. 그러나 한국어 학습에서 의성어･의태어를 제외하고 교육한다는 것은 불가능하다. 즉 학습자의 출신 언어권에 따라 의성어･의태어를 받아들이는 데는 차이가 있을 것이다.
더욱이 중국어에서는 의성어와 의태어를 지칭하는 특별한 용어가 불명확하기 때문에 중국어를 사용하는 한국어 학습자가 한국어의 의성어･의태어를 이해하는 것은 더욱 어렵다.
제Ⅲ장에서 한･중 초등학교 『국어』교과서를 중심으로 해서 양국의 의성어･의태어 목록을 제시한다. 이를 방탕으로 양국 언어를 형태론적, 의미론적으로 비교해서 한･중 의성어･의태어의 공통점과 차이점을 정리한다. 아울러 한국어의 의성어･의태어를 제대로 이해하려면 그에 따른 이론적인 지식이 필요함을 밝힌다.
제Ⅳ장에서는 한국어 의성어･의태어의 교육 방안에 대한 앞선 논문을 참고하여 효과적인 교육 방안을 정리한다. 한국어 교육용 의성어･의태어 어휘를 선정하고 교육 방안은 노래, 만화와 시를 통해서 자세히 기술한다.

The purpose of this thesis is to find the best education system to teach onomatopoeic and mimetic words. Many people in China want to learn Korean language these days but systematic education program for teaching Korean language has not been set yet. Even one who can be quite fluent in Korean can hardly speak onomatopoeic and mimetic words.
Besides, there are many differences in onomatopoeic and mimetic word between China and Korea that make it more difficult for Chinese to learn Korean.
From now, this thesis is giving a brief summary of systematic education program for teaching Korean language.
First, finishing China and Korea on the definition of onomatopoeic and mimetic words, then summarize the differences between the onomatopoeia and mimetic words of both South Korea and China.
Second, lists the onomatopoeic words in Korean and Chinese junior high school textbooks, analyze them, and then compare both form and meaning of.
Third, selected Korean onomatopoeic and mimetic words, and introduction to comparative good education program. For example through songs, comics, and television media, as well as the poetry education.
