The purpose of our research is hopefully to improve learning capacity of Korean study by body proverbs education. Body words are most familiar and cited by Korean people as a basic component in sentence, and that’s also the reason why we choose body proverbs as research samples. Students can recognize Korean way of thinking, life style and learn the pure Korean culture further as well. Furthermore, proverbs are necessary parts in TOPIK(Test of Proficiency in Korean), so it is essential to apply proverbs conveniently, and utilize them with effective methods.

Chapter 1: Research purpose, research approach, and summary based on research before.
Chapter 2: Collection, definition and character summary in proverbs. Owing to confusion between proverbs and phrases, difference recognition should be done through reference study.
Chapter 3: First, summary of body words definition. Furthermore, set the body words with high frequency as research samples, for example, head, eyes, mouth, nose, ears, hands and feet. Collect and add Chinese annotation to these proverbs.
Chapter 4: Put forward method in improving Korean comprehension by body proverbs. First of all, collect body proverbs from Korean college lecture respectively, and carry out comprehensive analysis. Afterwards, the new research is based on prior research, and to apply the high application frequency, corresponding to student level and involved in TOPIK as three main principles to pick up the body proverbs and proceeds further investigation. Last not least, use the ‘Beauty is in the eye of the beholder’ as an example to design education approach.
The improvement of Korean comprehension by body proverbs come from 5 steps, Introduction, Explanation, Practice, Application and Finally development. Meanwhile, to design education guidance for teacher based on these steps.
Due to the body proverbs education among Korean learners, it is largely increase students's motivation, self-confidence and improve their comprehension.

한국어 학습자들은 일상생활에서 속담을 자주 접할 수가 있다. 그리고 한국어능력시험에도 속담은 빠짐없이 일부분을 출제되고 있기 때문에, 학습자들이 속담을 통해 한국어 이해력을 향상시키는데 매우 중요하다고 본다. 그래서 속담을 쉽게 이해하기 위한 효과적인 방법이 필요하다.
본 연구는 중국인 한국어 학습자를 위한 한국어 이해력을 향상시키는 방안을 모색하는 작업으로 특히 신체와 관련된 속담을 중심으로 모색하였다. 신체 관련 속담을 대상으로 선정한 이유는 신체 어휘는 사람이 흔히 쓰고, 친숙하게 사용하는 기본 어휘이고, 사람들이 이를 통해 많은 것을 표현하기 때문이다.
본 연구의 제1장에서는 연구의 목적과 연구의 방법에 대해 서술하고, 속담에 관한 선행 연구들을 살펴보았다.
제2장에서는 속담의 개념, 속담과 관용어의 차이점 등을 살펴보았다. 그리고 속담의 특징, 한국어 속담 교육의 필요성 및 교육적 의의에 대해 살펴보았다.
제3장에서는 신체 어휘의 정의를 서술하였고, 사용 빈도가 높은 ‘머리, 눈, 입, 코, 귀, 손, 발’ 7가지 신체 어휘를 선택하여 이에 대한 속담 의미의 한·중 대비를 제시하였다.
제4장에서는 현재 인지도가 높은 한국어 교재 및 다른 속담 책에서 다루고 있는 신체 관련된 속담을 제시하였다. 한국어 이해력을 향상시킬 수 있는 효과적인 방법에는 우선적으로 교육적인 신체 관련 속담을 선정해야 한다. 본 연구에서는 기존 연구를 발판으로 하여 사용 빈도가 높은 속담, 학습자의 발달 단계에 맞는 속담, 한국어능력시험에서 다루는 신체 관련 속담 등 3가지 항목을 선정 기준으로 제시하였다.
신체 관련 속담을 활용한 한국어 이해력을 향상시키는 방법은 순차적으로 ‘제시단계→설명단계→연습단계→활용단계→확장단계’로 나누었다. 이렇게 속담 자료를 이용하여, 예를 들고 자세히 설명을 하면, 학습자들이 신체 관련 속담을 쉽게 이해하므로, 문장을 이해할 수 있고, 전체를 잘 파악할 수 있다고 본다. 학습자들의 흥미를 유발시키고, 신체 관련 속담을 통해 한국어 이해력을 향상시킬 수 있다고 본다. 위의 다섯 단계를 바탕으로 신체 관련 속담의 교수·학습 지도안을 작성 제시하였다. 수업 대상은 한국어 중·고급 수준의 중국인 학습자를 선정하고, 실제 수업 시간은 50분이다. 이 지도안은 도입→제시→설명→연습→활용→마무리 순서로 진행하게 작성하였다.
학습자들이 속담 교육을 통해서 한국 사람의 사고방식이나 생활방식을 체득하면서 한국 문화에 대해 어느 정도의 이해가 된다고 본다. 속담 교육 시 그 속담을 실제 의사소통 상황에서 쉽게 사용할 수 있게 해 주는 연습문제와 속담의 의미를 이해하는 데 도움을 주는 그림 등을 활용한다. 또 흥미를 유발할 수 있는 다양한 매체를 이용해 중국인 학습자들이 한국어 이해력을 향상시키는 데 도움이 되었다고 믿는다.
