이 논문은 한국어 교육에서 교사의 비언어적 커뮤니케이션이 어떠한 형태로 나타나고 작용하는지를 관찰 및 분석하여 이에 따른 한국어 교사의 비언어적 커뮤니케이션 방안을 마련하는 것을 목적으로 한다.
이를 위해 한국어 교육에서는 아직 생소한 비언어적 커뮤니케이션의 개념 설정을 목적으로 관련 연구를 살펴보았다. 선행 연구 검토를 통해 한국어 교실 상황에서 한국어 교사와 학습자 간의 비언어적 커뮤니케이션은 주로 신체언어로 이루어진다고 보고 본 논문의 연구 범위와 요소를 한정하였다.
3장에서는 한국인의 일반적인 비언어적 커뮤니케이션 행위에 관하여 관찰함으로서 문화적인 차이가 존재하는 한국어 교실 상황에서 교사와 학습자 사이에 이해의 폭을 넓힐 수 있는 자료로 활용할 수 있도록 하였다.
4장에서는 한국어 교사와 학습자를 대상으로 설문을 실시하였다. 설문을 통해 비언어적 커뮤니케이션 요소들이 교사와 학습자 양쪽에서 어떠한 형태로 나타나고 있는지, 긍정적이거나 부정적인 행위의 발생 빈도는 어느 정도인지 등을 알아보고 범주화된 자료를 마련하였다.
5장에서는 앞서 실시한 설문 분석을 바탕으로, 여러 관련 연구자들의 제안과 본 연구자의 의견을 종합하여 비언어적 커뮤니케이션 유형별 교사의 비언어적 커뮤니케이션 방안을 제시하였다. 이는 그동안 교사의 비언어적 커뮤니케이션에 관한 구체적인 지침이 없었던 한국어 교육 현장에서 의미 있는 자료가 될 것이라고 생각한다.

This study observes and analysis the pattern and action of Korean teachers' nonverbal communication and aims at preparing a program of Korean teachers' nonverbal communication accordingly.
The related studies are reviewed in order to set the concept of nonverbal communication which is unfamiliar in Korean education. Through the review of previous studies, it is considered that the nonverbal communication between Korean teacher and students is mainly kinesics in the classroom, and the scope and element of this study is limited accordingly.
In chapter 3, this study can be used for the data as broadening the mutual comprehension between the teacher and student in the classroom which exists the cultural gap by observing the general Korean's nonverbal communication.
In chapter 4, a survey was done for Korean teachers and the students. Through the survey, it is reviewed that the element of nonverbal communication is shown in a certain pattern both teacher and student and frequency of the positive or negative actions is happened, and the categorized data is prepared.
In chapter 5, a program of nonverbal communication according to the pattern of nonverbal communication is proposed by summarizing the proposal of related researchers and the writer's opinion. It could be a meaningful data in Korean education field since there's no detail instruction about teachers' nonverbal communication until now.
