현대사회는 어느 때보다도 민족의 문화와 우리 전통의 보전과 계승이 절실히 필요하다고 본다. 우리 전통문양이 가지고 있는 상징적인 의미와 전통문양이 지니는 본래의 형상과 느낌을 창... 현대사회는 어느 때보다도 민족의 문화와 우리 전통의 보전과 계승이 절실히 필요하다고 본다. 우리 전통문양이 가지고 있는 상징적인 의미와 전통문양이 지니는 본래의 형상과 느낌을 창의적으로 재해석하여 현대적인 우리의 전통적인 디자인을 헤어디자인에 활용할 필요가 있다고 본다. 2015년부터는 기능경기대회의 이용 종목 중 남성 퍼머넌트웨이브 과제에 헤어타투가 추가가 되어 작품이 더 창의적이고 독창적이고 세심한 작업을 필요로 하게 되었다. 이러한 전통문양들이 헤어타투에 적용이 된다면 국내·외 기능경기대회에서 우리의 전통문양의 우수성을 널리 알릴 수 있는 좋은 기회가 될 수 있을 것이라고 본다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 한국 전통문양의 기원과 그 문양이 가지는 형태 및 상징성, 내포되어 있는 의미 등을 충분히 고찰하여 한국 전통문양의 기하문을 접목해 독창성과 각 문양들의 조형성을 연구하고 헤어타투 작품을 제작하여 국내·외 기능경기대회에서 활용되어 지기를 바란다. 연구의 방법은 문헌 연구과 실증적 연구를 병행하였다. 문헌 연구는 한국 전통문양의 개념이나 특징과 의미 등에 대한 일반적 고찰을 위해, 선행연구와 서적 및 문헌자료, 각종 정보 사이트를 통한 인터넷 자료를 활용해 이론적 근거를 마련했고, 실증적 연구에서 작품제작에 응용된 한국 전통문양 중 형태별 분류에 속하는 기하문을 각각 응용하여 헤어타투를 총 6작품을 제작하였다. 연구의 내용은 첫째, 전통문양의 형태적 분류에 따른 모양을 분석하였고 둘째, 기능경기대회에 출제되는 헤어타투 과제에 대해서 분석하였다. 셋째, 창의적이고 독창적인 기능경기대회 헤어디자인 종목 중 이용부문에 남성 펌과 헤어타투 과제 분석을 토대로 전통문양을 응용한 헤어타투 6작품을 제작하였다. 전체적인 스타일은 퍼머넌트 웨이브 과제에 나오는 스타일로 선정했으며, 펌 롯드는 5, 6호로 사용하여 자연스러운 컬을 연출하였다. 스타일링은 스프레이와 컬링 에센스를 사용하였으며, 스크래치는 클리퍼와 눈썹칼을 이용해 조각을 냈다. 거북등·가로줄문은 거북등문의 그물 모양과 가로줄문 가로와 세로의 직선들이 조화 될 수 있게 표현했고 동그라미·마름모형문에서 동그라미문은 반복적인 원과 마름모형문의 반복적인 사각형의 문양을 조화롭게 표현했다. 번개·십자문에서 번개문은 지그재그 모양과 십자문의 ‘/’ 모양을 조화롭게 표현했다. 소용돌이·물결문에서 소용돌이문의 나선무늬와 물결문의 흐르는 듯한 느낌을 조화롭게 표현했다. 삼각형·태극문에서 삼각형문의 연속적인 삼각형과 태극문의 태극무늬를 조화롭게 표현했다. 그물·기타문에서 그물문의 얽혀 있는 가로와 세로의 무늬와 기타문의 추상적인 무늬를 조화롭게 표현했다. 작품 결과 전통문양이라는 모티브를 가지고 다양화하여 창의적이고 독창적인 작품을 만들고자 한 연구 목적에 새로운 디자인 작품을 창출할 수 있었다. 본 연구의 과정에서 문양이 가지고 있는 의미를 헤어타투로 표현하는데 형태적 제한점이 있었고, 한국 전통문양을 응용한 연구가 다른 분야에서는 많지만 미용 관련 자료에서는 선행논문이 미비한 실정이다. 그래서 좀 더 다양한 기법과 창의적인 디자인을 개발하는데 심도 있는 연구가 지속적으로 이루어지길 기대한다. 한국 전통문양의 우수한 조형성을 현대적으로 재해석할 수 있는 다양한 디자인이 많이 활용될 수 있기를 바란다.

Since hair tattoo has been added to male perm task on 2015 among skill competition tasks, work of art needs more creative, ingenious and careful skills. If traditional pattern gets applied to hair tattoo, it will be a great opportunity to inform superiority of our traditional pattern in domestic and foreign skill competition. Therefore in this research I considered originality of Korean traditional pattern, the symbolization and form, included meaning of pattern deeply by applying geometry of Korean traditional pattern to do research on formativeness and creativity of each pattern and make hair tattoo work to utilize in domestic and foreign skill competition. I used literature research and positive research. Through literature research, to consider generally about concept, characteristic, meaning of Korean traditional pattern, I developed evidence for theory using internet database, advance research, and literature materials. Through positive research, I made 6 hair tattoo artwork utilizing geography of Korean traditional pattern which are used in making artworks. First, I analyzed figures of traditional patterns according to morphological concept. Second, I analyzed hair tattoo work for skill competition. Third, I made 6 hair tattoo artworks using traditional pattern based on analyzing creative and ingenious male perm and hair tattoo. I selected perm wave style for task, and made natural curl using 5 and 6. I made style using sprays and curling essence, and made scratch using clipper and brow. Tortoise patterns and horizontal line pattern has been expressed by harmonizing vertical and horizontal straight lines, circle and diamond has been expressed by harmonizing repetitive circles and diamonds. Lightning and cross has been expressed by harmonizing zigzag and cross shape. Swirl and wave has been expressed by harmonizing a spiral and flowing feeling of wave. Triangle and taegeuk has been expressed by harmonizing repetitive triangle and taegeuk figure. and extra has been expressed by harmonizing vertical and horizontal figure in net and abstract figure in extra. I could make new design artwork according to research purpose which was making creative and ingenious artwork by diversifying traditional pattern. However, I had a restricted formal application for expressing the meaning of pattern to hair tattoo. Even though there are a lot of research applying Korean traditional pattern in many other fields, there are not enough advanced research in beauty fields. Therefore I expect deeper and continuous research developing more various and creative design.
