본 연구의 목적은 미국의 「피아노 어드벤쳐」 교재에 나타난 정서적 요소를 미국과 한국 학습자 시각에서 살펴보고, 교재가 한국 학습자 정서에 적합한 요소를 담고 있는지 분석하여 앞으... 본 연구의 목적은 미국의 「피아노 어드벤쳐」 교재에 나타난 정서적 요소를 미국과 한국 학습자 시각에서 살펴보고, 교재가 한국 학습자 정서에 적합한 요소를 담고 있는지 분석하여 앞으로 한국 피아노 교육이 연구하고 나아가야 할 피아노 교재의 발전 방향을 제시하는 것이다. 이를 위해 피아노 교재의 역사적 흐름을 알아보았고, 피아노 교재에서 정서에 영향을 미치는 요소를 자국적 요소와 이국적 요소로 분류하여 살펴보았다. 그리고 미국과 한국 학습자 시각에서 「피아노 어드벤쳐」 교재의 자국적·이국적 분석 및 비교하여 교재가 한국 학습자 정서에 적절한지 탐색하고, 이를 바탕으로 한국 초급 피아노 교재의 발전을 위해 제안하였다. 본 연구의 결과를 살펴보면, 「피아노 어드벤쳐」 교재는 미국 학습자 시각에서 보았을 때, 자국적 요소와 이국적 요소는 큰 차이 없이 적절하게 반영되어 있음을 알 수 있었다. 그러나 한국 학습자 시각에서 보았을 때, 자국적 요소가 결여되어 이국적 요소와의 차가 큼을 알 수 있었다. 이는 미국에서 개발된 「피아노 어드벤쳐」 교재가 오늘날 다문화 시대 흐름과 다민족국가인 미국의 특성을 반영하여 미국 피아노 학습자에게 다양한 문화적, 음악적 색체를 활용한 음악교육을 제시하고 있다는 것을 의미한다. 이와 같이 「피아노 어드벤쳐」 교재는 미국의 정서를 바탕으로 개발된 교재라는 점에서 한국 학습자 교육에 사용되기에 정서적으로 문제가 있음을 알 수 있었다. 이러한 결과는 수입 교재의 무분별한 사용을 지양하고, 한국 학습자 정서에 적절한 교재의 개발이 요구됨을 시사한다. 따라서 본 연구가 한국 학습자를 위한 한국 초급 피아노 교재의 발전과 활용에 도움이 되기를 바란다.
The purpose of this study is to review the emotional elements in the 「Piano Adventure」 from the perspectives of American learners and Korean learners to analyze whether this method book has suitable elements for the Korean learners and ultimately ... The purpose of this study is to review the emotional elements in the 「Piano Adventure」 from the perspectives of American learners and Korean learners to analyze whether this method book has suitable elements for the Korean learners and ultimately to suggest a direction for piano education of Korea to improve the piano method books. First, the history of piano method books was studied, and then the emotional elements were categorized into two elements-local and foreign and they were also studied. As a next step, I analyzed the compatibility of 「Piano Adventure」 by comparing its local elements and foreign elements from the perspective of American learners and Korean learners. Finally based on the founding, I made suggestions for improvements of beginner level piano method books in Korea. As a result of my study, 「Piano Adventure」 has both local and foreign elements without any noticeable gap from the perspective of a American learner. However, from the perspective of Korean learner, it was clear that the gap between two elements was fairly large. This means that the 「Piano Adventure」, a piano method book written in America, has incorporated the unique characteristic of America as a multiracial country and the current multicultural society to provide the musical education with more cultural and musical variations to American learners. In conclusion, it was found that the 「Piano Adventure」 written based on the American culture and emotion has limits when applied to the Korean learners. This founding suggests that the imprudent use of imported piano method books should be limited and raises awareness of the development of piano method books suitable for Korean learners.
