전래동화는 옛날로부터 구전된 이야기이므로 비교적 쉬운 문체를 사용하며 한국인의 삶, 가치관, 세계관 등도 반영하기 때문에 언어 교육과 문화 교육의 자료로 한국어교육에서 널리 사용되고 있다. 본 연구는 전래동화의 이런 교육적 가치를 인식하여 중국인 학습자를 대상으로 한 듣기, 말하기, 읽기, 쓰기, 문화 다섯 가지 기능을 통합한 한국어교육 방안을 개발하는 데에 목적을 두고 있다. 중국인 학습자의 스키마를 최대화 활성화시키기 위해 중국에서도 비슷한 줄거리는 가진 문학 작품을 찾을 수 있는 한국 전래동화 「우렁이 색시」를 교육 자료로 선정했다. 이 작품을 활용하여 통합적인 한국어 수업을 개발하기 위하여 다음과 같은 절차를 따랐다.
우선, 1장에서는 중국인 학습자를 위한 전래동화를 이용하여 한국어교육 방안을 개발하는 필요성을 제시하고, 연구 방법에 대해도 설명했다. 선행 연구에 대해 검토함으로써 문제점을 제기했다. 2장에서는 전래동화의 개념 및 특징에 대해 살펴봄으로써 전래동화가 한국어교육에서의 적절성을 확인했다. 그리고 기존 교재에 실린 전래동화에 대해 검토함으로써 현재 한국어교육에서 전래동화가 활용되고 있는 현황에 대해 알아봤다. 3장에서는 기존 연구에서 제기한 언어 교육에서 이용하는 전래동화 작품의 선정 기준을 참조하고 중국인 학습자의 특성을 고려하여「우렁이 색시」를 교육 자료로 선정했다.「우렁이 색시」에서 나타난 어휘와 문법의 등급화에 대해 분석하고 기존 연구에서 제기한 전래동화가 중급 한국어교육에서의 활용 적절성을 참고하여 이 작품을 중급 수준의 한국어 수업에서 다루는 자료로 정했다. 이어서 작품 자체의 특성 및 학습자의 특성을 고려하여 전래동화를 재구성하는 기준에 따라「우렁이 색시」에 대해 재구성했다. 4장에서는 총체적 언어 접근법을 이용하여「우렁이 색시」를 활용한 말하기, 듣기, 쓰기, 읽기 가지 언어 기능과 문화 교육을 포함한 통합적 한국어 수업의 모형과 실제적인 교육 방안을 제시했다. 마지막으로는 앞의 내용에 대해 정리하고 문제점을 제기했다.
본 연구는 중국인 학습자의 스키마 및 흥미를 최대히 불러일으킬 수 있도록「우렁이 색시」를 이용해 말하기, 읽기, 쓰기, 듣기, 문화 기능을 통합한 교육 방안을 개발했다. 그리고 교육 방안 안에 언어의 5 가지 영역을 연계한 연습 활동을 많이 제시하여 학습자들의 통합적 언어 능력과 문화적 이해 능력의 향상, 논리적인 사고 능력, 정보 구사 능력의 신장을 얻고자 한다. 이 교육 방안은 언어 교육과 문화 교육을 통합한 교육 방안으로 후속 연구에 시사점을 주고자 한다.

Traditional fairy tale stories have been circulated for a long time. As it was transforming to a relatively simple form, it reflected Korean people's life, values and world views, and it is widely used in language and cultural education. Based on the educational value of fairy tale stories, this research aims to provide a Korean language education method for Chinese learners. The purpose of this is to improve Chinese learners' speaking, listening, writing, and reading skills, meanwhile, enhance their understanding abilities to different culture. The reason of selecting 'Snail Girl' as the educational material is there are similar fairy tale stories in China. It is helpful to recall the cultural links between Korean and Chinese. In order to develop a Korean language learning program, the following processes are needed.
In the first chapter, it proposed the necessity of the development of the Korean language education programs. By exploring related previous researches, this research came up with few deficiencies about this filed. In the second chapter, by summing up the definition and features of fairy tale stories, the fairy tale stories' suitability in language education has been confirmed. Also, in order to clearly find out the application situation of fairy tale stories in Korean language education, this research explored the fairy tale stories occurred in existing Korean teaching materials. In the third chapter, according to the baseline found out from former researches and the connections between Korean and Chinese culture, 'Snail Girl' is chosen as the education material. By analyzing the level of difficult degrees of words and grammars, and refer to the suitability of fairy tale stories in language education, 'Snail Girl' decided to be used in the middle level of Korean language education. In the consideration of the characteristics of 'Snail Girl' and Chinese learners' features, according to the baseline comes up with in former researches as well, this research set up a baseline for rewriting 'Snail Girl'. In the fourth chapter, integrated education is used to created a comprehension model of Korean language class, and a practical education program which is useful improving speaking, listening, writing and reading skills is also be prepared. At the end of the research, all of the contents are summarized and the deficiencies have been proposed.
This research aims to achieve a learning scheme, which is useful to attract their interests and calling up the cultural links between Korean and their own country to Chinese learners. Therefore, this research selected the literary work Snail Girl as the educational material, developed a Korean language education program which can effectively improve Chinese learners' speaking, listening, writing, reading, and cultural understanding skills. In this education program, five kinds of language skills relevant activities are widely be used, which is aimed to improve the learners comprehension, logical mind and information processing abilities. At last, as an educational research related to foreign language and cultural education, it is expected to provide a reference to further researches.
