대우법은 문법적 요소와 어휘적 요소로 실현되므로 어느 한 부분도 소홀히 할 수 없다. 그러나 실제 교육 현장에서는 어휘적 대우를 문법적 대우 안에서 간단히 기술하거나 일반 어휘와 함께 제시하는 등 어휘적 대우의 중요성을 간과하고 있는 것이 현실이다. 본고에서는 이러한 한계를 극복하고자 어휘적 대우에 대해 보다 명시적이고 구체적인 접근이 필요하다고 보고 어휘적 대우 교육 양상을 살펴보았다.
먼저 설문조사를 통해 외국인 학습자의 어휘적 대우 사용 양상을 살펴보았다. 또한 한국어 교육에서 어휘적 대우를 어떻게 다루고 있는지 살펴보기 위해 한국어 교재와 한국어능력시험에 출제된 문항을 분석하였다. 이렇게 어휘적 대우 교육 양상을 살펴본 후 어휘 사용 빈도, 학습자 오류 양상, 한국어 학습용 어휘(2003)를 기준으로 외국인 학습자를 위한 대우 어휘를 등급별로 목록화하고 교육 내용과 교육 방안을 제시하였다.
앞으로 다양하며 실생활에 유용한 상황을 고려한 교육 내용 및 교육 방안을 개발하고, 나아가 영역별, 언어권별 연구가 계속된다면 외국인 학습자를 위해 보다 균형 잡힌 대우법 교육이 가능하리라 기대한다.

The purpose of this study was to examine the educational modality of lexical honorifics in Korean language education and present lexical honorifics more clearly for foreign learners of Korean language in order for them to use honorific expressions efficiently.
Since honorific expressions are realized with grammar elements and vocabulary elements, it is impossible to ignore any one of them. However, in the actual scene of education, lexical honorifics are either described briefly within the scope of grammatical honorifics or presented with ordinary vocabularies, thus overlooking its importance. In order to overcome this limitation, it is necessary to approach lexical honorifics more clearly and concretely. In this vein, this study examined the educational modality of lexical honorifics.
First, based on a questionnaire survey, foreign learners' use modality of lexical honorifics was examined. In addition, in order to examine how lexical honorifics were dealt in Korean language education, the investigator analyzed Korean language textbooks and questions presented in the Korean Proficiency Test. After examining the educational modality of lexical honorifics, the investigator worked out a list of honorific expressions by grades for foreign learners of Korean language on the basis of vocabulary use frequency, learners' error modality and the on the vocabulary chosen for learning Korean (2003), and presented the contents and method of education.
The investigator hopes educational contents and method that take the useful situation for everyday life into account will be developed in the future and studies will be carried out by the realms and districts of language, thus resulting in the balanced education of honorific expressions for foreign learners of Korean language.
