실용음악은 순수음악에 비해 짧은 역사와 전통을 가졌음에도 불구하고 사회·문화·예술적 가치를 인정받으며 대중에게 큰 사랑을 받고 있는 학문이다. 실용음악에서 음향이 가지는 영향력... 실용음악은 순수음악에 비해 짧은 역사와 전통을 가졌음에도 불구하고 사회·문화·예술적 가치를 인정받으며 대중에게 큰 사랑을 받고 있는 학문이다. 실용음악에서 음향이 가지는 영향력이 매우 크지만 음향 관련 수업이 미흡한 실정이다. 현 시대적 패러다임을 반영한 실용음악 교육과정에서 음향교육의 필요성과 발전방안을 고찰하였다. 본 연구에서는 직·간접적 선행연구 문헌 검토를 하였으며 이를 통해 연구의 방향과 타당성 및 객관성을 마련하고자 하였다. 대구·경북지역의 예술고등학교 실용음악 교육과정 현황을 조사하였다. 예술고등학교 실용음악 전공 학생들에게 설문 조사를 실시였고 설문 문항내용은 실용음악에서 음향이 가지는 영향력에 대한 인식조사와 음향 관련 수업에 대한 학생들의 의사조사로 구성하였다. 본 연구자는 다음과 같이 설문결과 및 음향교육 발전방안을 고찰한다. 첫째, 학습자의 교육적 경험을 이끌고 제공할 음향교육 수업 개설의 필요성을 고찰한다. 둘째, 음향 관련 수업을 통한 실용음악 전공 학생들의 전공 실력 향상방안에 대해 고찰한다. 셋째, 시대적 흐름과 요구에 부합하는 문화콘텐츠 인력 양성을 위한 음향 관련 수업의 필요성을 고찰한다. 넷째, 음향 관련 수업과 액션 러닝 기법을 적용한 문제해결 중심 교육방향을 고찰한다. 음향 관련 수업이 예술고등학교 실용음악 교육과정에 정식 편성되어 문화콘텐츠 인력 양성 및 실용음악의 학문적 위상이 높아지길 바란다. 음향교육이 보다 실용성이 강조된 실용음악 교육과정으로의 변화·발전하기를 기대한다. 학습자의 교육적 경험 향상을 위한 음향 관련 수업이 실천적 과제로 인식되고 적용되기를 절실히 바란다.

Although the field of applied music has a shorter history compared to classical music, it is being recognized for its social, cultural and artistic values and it is receiving great popularity from the public. Despite the influences of sound arts in applied music, there are only a few classes about sound arts. Reflecting the modern paradigm, this study attempts to examine the necessity of sound arts education and development methods in educational courses of applied music. In order to set direction and obtain validity and objectivity of this study, direct and indirect literary reviews on previous studies have been conducted. The current curriculum of applied music education courses in arts high schools in Daegu and Gyeongbuk areas were examined. Surveys were conducted on the applied music major students in arts high schools. Through the surveys, the influence of sound arts in applied music and demands or opinions regarding sound arts related classes were surveyed. Based on the survey analysis results, this study presents the following sound arts education development methods. First of all, it examines the needs of the sound arts education classes which provide the educational experiences to applied music students. Secondly, sound arts related classes should influence skill improvement in one’s major of study. Thirdly, it proposes the necessity of sound arts related classes which provide the training of cultural content manpower that correspond with the trend and demands of the times. Lastly, it examines the educational direction focusing on problem-solving that applies action learning techniques and sound arts related classes. This study proposes that sound arts related classes should formally be included within applied music education courses in arts high schools so that the cultivation of cultural content manpower and the academic status of applied music can be elevated as well as putting more emphasis on practicality.
