이 연구에서는 표기 방법과 의미 변화를 중심으로 한국어와 중국어 외래어를 대조 연구한다. 한국어와 중국어 외래어의 공통점과 차이점을 파악한 후, 표기 방법과 의미 변화에 대한 구체적인 자료를 중심으로 대조 연구한다. 이 연구를 통하여 한국과 중국 양국의 외래어 표기 방법과 의미 변화에 대한 공통점과 차이점을 알 수 있으며, 이는 한국어 학습자와 중국어 학습자를 위한 유용한 학습 자료로 활용할 수 있다.
1장 서론에서는 연구 목적, 연구 대상 및 방법, 선행 연구를 제시한다. 이 연구는 한국어 외래어와 중국어 외래어를 연구 대상으로 삼고, 영어 외래어를 중심으로 한국과 중국 양국에 외래어가 수용될 때 어떠한 표기 방법과 의미 변화가 나타나는지 살핀다. 선행연구는 한국어 외래어 연구와 중국어 외래어 연구로 나누어 제시한다.
2장에서는 외래어의 개념에 대하여 논의한다. 외래어의 개념으로는 한국어와 중국어로 나누어 구체적으로 살핀다. 한국어 외래어의 개념은 외국에서 들어와 한국어처럼 쓰이는 어휘이며, 중국어 외래어는 외국 단어를 흡수하는 과정에서는 외국어에서의 의미를 나타내는 어휘이다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 한국어와 중국어의 외래어를 외국어에 기원을 둔 말로 본국어에 동화된 후 사용하는 어휘라고 제시한다.
3장에서는 한국어와 중국어 외래어의 표기 방법을 살핀다. 한국 외래어의 표기 방법은 합성형, 파생형, 단축형, 완전 형태, 자모어 등이 있다. 중국 외래어의 표기 방법은 단순 음역과 단순 의역, 음·의 겸역, 자모어로 구분한다. 이는 한국어는 표음문자지만 중국어는 표의문자기 때문에 외래어 표기 방법에 차이가 나타난다고 할 수 있다. 따라서 한국어와 중국어 외래어의 표기 방법에 대하여 구체적인 자료와 예를 중심으로 표기 방법을 살핀다.
4장에서는 한국어와 중국어 외래어의 의미 변화에 대하여 제시한다. 외국어를 외래어로 수용할 때, 다양한 의미의 변화가 나타난다. 따라서 한국어와 중국어 외래어 의미 변화의 유형을 정리하여 제시한다. 의미 변화의 유형은 의미 확대, 의미 축소, 의미 전이를 들 수 있으며, 한국어와 중국어의 의미 변화에 대하여 구체적인 자료를 중심으로 살핀다.

With the development of the society, this is more and more communication among different countries and different ethnic groups. And this causes the connections among different languages.
Language is developing and also changing, vocabulary is the most remarkable one. Korean and Chinese vocabularies are no exception. During the development of vocabulary, the most distinct phenomenon is absorption of loan word. Loan word are constantly increasing in Korean and Chinese, the studies on loan word is prominent both in Korean and Chinese is so limited. For this reason, guided by theories of morphology and semantics, this makes a contrast on Word formation, semantic changing of loan word in two languages, which is on the basis of previous studies.
This includes five parts. The first chapter is introduction, mainly expounds the necessity and purpose of studying on loan word in Korean and Chinese, the methods and scope of research as well as the study result of predecessors. The second chapter theoretical investigation on loan word concept in Korean and Chinese is carried on. The third chapter makes a contrastive analysis of word formation types in two languages. The fourth chapter makes a contrastive analysis of types and characteristics in loan word＇semantic meaning in Korean and Chinese. The last chapter is the conclusion, which point out the change, characteristics, influence of loan word from English, which reflects loan word and Korean, loan word and Chinese are in the running-in period.
