본 연구의 목적은 사회적 지지가 중도입국청소년의 문화적응에 미치는 영향을 파악하기 위함이다. 즉, 중도입국청소년들에게 영향을 줄 것으로 여겨지는 사회적 지지에 대한 고찰을 통해 ... 본 연구의 목적은 사회적 지지가 중도입국청소년의 문화적응에 미치는 영향을 파악하기 위함이다. 즉, 중도입국청소년들에게 영향을 줄 것으로 여겨지는 사회적 지지에 대한 고찰을 통해 문화적응에 대한 의미 있는 시사점을 찾고자 함이다. 따라서 본 연구는 사회적 지지가 중도입국청소년의 문화적응에 미치는 영향을 알아보기 위하여 우선 사회적 지지 원을 가족, 친구, 지역사회조직으로 한정 한 후 이러한 지지원이 문화적응에 미치는 영향을 탐색하였다. 본 연구는 서울에 거주하는 중도입국청소년 120명을 대상으로 설문조사를 진행하였다. 수거된 설문지는 Window용 SPSS 20.0 사회과학 통계프로그램을 활용하여 빈도분석, 기술통계분석, 상관관계분석, 다중회귀분석을 실시하였다. 이에 대한 연구결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 중도입국청소년들의 문화적응과 사회적 지지는 어떠한지 살펴보았을 때, 문화적응과 사회적지지 모두 비교적 높은 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 중도입국청소년들은 인구학적 배경 중 한국친구가 많거나, 한국국적을 취득했거나, 학교에 재학 중이거나, 한국어 능력 중 말하기 수준이 높을 때 또, 사회적지지 중 가족의 지지가 높을수록 문화적응을 높이는 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 중도입국청소년의 사회적지지 중 지역사회조직의 지지는 문화적응을 낮추는 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 연구의 결과를 바탕으로 중도입국청소년의 한국사회 문화적응을 위한 정책적·실천적 지원 방안을 다음과 같이 제언하였다. 첫째, 성인 이주민에 맞춰진 동일한 정책과 서비스가 아닌 중도입국청소년이라는 사회·심리적 특수성에 맞춰진 정책과 서비스가 필요하다. 둘째, 중도입국청소년의 불안정한 가정상황을 안정화 하고, 지지체계 중 가족 요인 이외의 다른 지지 원들을 강화해야 한다. 셋째, 중도입국청소년 역시 청소년기라는 보편적 시기를 경험하고 있기에 한국인 또래의 지지를 확대 강화하기 위한 프로그램이 절실하다. 넷째, 중도입국청소년들이 잘 적응하기 위해서는 다양한 지역사회 조직의 도움을 받을 수밖에 없다. 이들의 적응을 위해 다양한 서비스를 제공하는 지역사회조직들은 좀 더 세심하고 구체적인 서비스를 제공할 필요가 있다. 다섯째, 일반적인 다문화기관이 아닌 중도입국청소년에게 맞춤형 서비스를 제공할 수 있는 전문기관을 확대, 발전시켜야 한다. 주제어: 중도입국청소년, 사회적지지, 문화적응, 다문화자녀

The purpose of this study is to explore the impact of social support on the acculturation among immigrant youth of multicultural families. That is, it serves to find out meaningful implications for the cultural adaptation through examining social support considered to affect the youth. Therefore, this study first limits social support sources to family, friends and community organizations and then investigates the influence of the sources on the acculturation of immigrant children to examine the impact of social support on social adaptation of the children. This study conducted a survey of 120 immigrant children living in Seoul utilizing a questionnaire. Filled-out questionnaires were carried out frequency analysis, descriptive statistics analysis, Pearson's correlation analysis and multiple regression analysis using Window's SPSS Statistics 20.0. Based on the above discussion, the result of this study is as in the following. First, when examining the level of cultural adaptation of and social support for immigrant youth, both levels appear to be relatively high. Second, among other backgrounds, the children culturally adjust well in Korea particularly when they have a few Korean friends, acquired Korean citizenship or go to school, or their Korean speaking level is high. Moreover, the higher support from families amongst other social support sources, the higher level of acculturation. Third, social support from community organizations for immigrated children lowers their cultural adaptation. Based on the results above, this study suggests policy and practical support measures for smooth adaptation of immigrant children of multicultural families as follow; First, there is a need of policies and services tailored to the children considering their social and psychological peculiarities, not the identical policies and services designed for adult immigrants. Second, their unstable home needs to be stabilized and other social support sources except family should be strengthened. Third, there is an urgent need of a program reinforcing support from Korean peers since the immigrant children also go through adolescent period. Fourth, immigrant youth cannot help but get support from different community organizations in order to adjust well in Korea. Community organizations offering various services for their adaptation need to provide more careful and concrete services. Fifth, not just general multicultural institutions but specialized orgnizations that can provide customized services for immigrant children should be expanded and developed.
