The purpose of this research is to analyze and to seek measures for word order education by distinguishing rigid word order and free word order.
Korean has comparatively free language order, but it has some rules. Thus, the research of word order would not be meaningless. However, until now the research about Korean word order and especially the word order education are relatively scarce. Learners, as they learn deeper, are confused with written and spoken language and make errors, thus making communication more difficult. By comprehending the word order accurately, it not only helps learners to understand the meaning of sentences but also upgrade the proficiency of Korean language and therefore can communicate in more sophisticated sentences.
This research once again reminds learners whom learn foreign languages the importance of word order education. Also, by adapting word order education to the current Korean education, it established the standard sentence.
In language education, the order education is effective, productive and also creative in terms of communication. Therefore takes significant part in language life.
However, when reflecting the contents of questionnaires and the number of participants, there are some limits that this cannot be generalized and also could not be practiced in reality, but the significant part is that by this , it indicates that the word order education is necessary and needs standards. Also, learners feel difficulties in terms of word order and feels that they need the word order education which shows the necessity.

이 연구의 목적은 초급 학습자들의 한국어 어순 교육 현황에 대해 살펴보고 고정어순과 자유어순을 구분하여 어순 교육 방안을 모색해 보는 것이다.
한국어는 비교적 자유로운 어순을 가지고 있지만 아무런 제약이 없는 것은 아니다. 그러므로 어순에 대한 연구가 무의미한 것은 아닐 것이다. 그렇지만 아직까지 한국어 어순에 대한 연구와 특히 한국어 어순 교육을 중심으로 한 연구가 드물고 중·고급으로 올라갈수록 학습자들은 문어와 구어 사이에서 오는 오류로 인해 더 깊은 의사소통에 어려움이 있다. 어순을 정확히 파악하면 학습자들에게 문장의 뜻을 더 잘 이해할 수 있도록 해줄 뿐만 아니라 한국어 숙달도를 향상하여 보다 세련된 의사소통을 할 수 있도록 해 줄 것이다.
이에 본 연구는 외국어를 배우는 학습자들에게 어순 교육을 해야 할 필요성에 대해 알아보았다. 그리고 현재의 한국어 교육에서의 어순 교육 현황에 적용하여 어순 교육을 위한 기본 문장의 유형을 정립하였다. 또한 학습자 이해도 결과에 따라 교육 방안을 제시해 보았다.
언어 학습에 있어서 어순 교육을 한다는 것은 그만큼 의사소통에 있어서 더욱 생산적이고 창의적이며 능동적으로 할 수 있는 효과를 주는 것이다. 그러므로 언어생활에 있어 매우 중요한 의미가 있는 것이다.
그러나 어순의 이해도 측정에 참여한 학습자의 수와 설문지의 내용에 비추어 볼 때 일반화하기에는 무리가 있다는 것과, 본 연구에서 제안한 교육 방안에 맞추어 실제적인 수업을 해보지 못했다는 것에 본 연구의 한계점도 있다. 그렇지만 본 연구를 통해 어순 교육에 기준이 필요하다는 것을 제시한 것에 의미가 있다고 하겠다. 그리고 학습자가 어순에 대한 어려움을 느끼고 있으며 어순 교육을 필요로 한다는 것에는 분명한 결과가 나타나므로 그 필요성을 언급하는 데에 본 연구의 의의를 두겠다.
