본 연구는 다문화가족 한국 남성 배우자의 결혼만족도에 미치는 요인들이 무엇인지 규명함으로써 대상자들의 결혼만족도 향상을 위한 사회복지 실천적 개입을 제언하고자 시행된 연구다. ... 본 연구는 다문화가족 한국 남성 배우자의 결혼만족도에 미치는 요인들이 무엇인지 규명함으로써 대상자들의 결혼만족도 향상을 위한 사회복지 실천적 개입을 제언하고자 시행된 연구다. 이러한 목적을 달성하기 위한 주된 연구문제는 다음과 같다. 【연구문제 1】 다문화가족 한국 남성 배우자의 문화적응 스트레스가 결혼만족도에 미치는 영향은 어떠한가? 【연구문제 2】 다문화가족 한국 남성 배우자의 의사소통 능력이 결혼만족도에 미치는 영향은 어떠한가? 【연구문제 3】 다문화가족 한국 남성 배우자의 사회적 지지(지지자, 지지 수단)가 결혼만족도에 미치는 영향은 어떠한가? 본 연구의 대상자는 전남, 전북, 경남, 충남, 서울 및 경기 등의 공공기관이나 민간기관의 사회복지 관련 서비스에 참석하는 이주여성들의 한국인 배우자들로, 직접 면접을 통해 설문조사하거나 다문화가족서비스 관련기관 담당자들을 통한 설문조사를 실시하였다. 조사대상자들의 일반적 특징을 살펴보면 40대가 가장 많으며, 자녀가 1명이고, 결혼한 지 3-4년 남성이 많았으며, 학력은 고졸이 가장 많았으며(44.6%), 직업은 농림어업 종사자(48.6%), 월소득은 150만원 미만, 종교는 없는 경우가 가장 많았으며 부인의 결혼 전 국적은 베트남이 가장 많으며, 부인의 한국어 능력은 보통이상이 가장 많고, 부인에 대한 결혼 전 정보 일치도는 대체로 일치하였으며, 자조모임은 참석하지 않는 남성이 더 많았다. 조사대상자들이 인지하는 결혼만족도는 비교적 높게 나타났으며 각 변인별 결혼만족도에 미치는 영향에 대한 연구결과를 제시하면 다음과 같다. 조사대상자들이 인지하고 있는 결혼만족도는 비교적 높게 나타났으며, 인구사회학적 요인인 남성의 연령, 남성의 학력, 결혼연수, 남성의 직업, 월소득, 부인의 한국어 능력, 결혼 전 부인에 대한 정보 일치도가 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 문화적응 스트레스 요인인 자문화전달 스트레스, 다문화수용 스트레스, 차별감 스트레스가 결혼만족도에 미치는 영향을 살펴본 결과, 다문화수용 스트레스, 차별감 스트레스 요인은 결혼만족도에 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났으나 자문화전달 스트레스는 영향을 미치지 않는 것으로 나타났다. 다음으로 의사소통 능력 요인은 남성의 의사소통 능력, 부인의 의사소통 능력에 따라 결혼만족도에 미치는 영향을 살펴본 결과, 남성 자신의 의사소통 능력은 통계적으로 유의하지 않았으나, 부인의 의사소통 능력은 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 사회적 지지 요인은 사회적 지지자와 사회적 지지 수단에 따라 결혼만족도에 미치는 영향을 살펴본 결과, 가족의 지지와 친구의 지지가 영향을 미치고 있으며, 정보적 지지가 결혼만족도에 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 결과를 바탕으로 다문화가족 한국 남성 배우자들의 결혼만족도를 향상시키고 나아가 사회복지사들의 문화적 역량 고취의 필요성과 실천현장에서의 실천방안 등을 논의하였다.

Therefore, I tried to find out the major factors which might affect marital satisfactory scale(MSS) of Korean male spouses in multicultural families. The study problems in this study are as followings. 1. How much does the acculturative stresses affect MSS for Korean male spouses in multicultural families? 2. How much does the communicative ability affect MSS for Korean male spouses in multicultural families? 3. How much do the social supports affect MSS for Korean male spouses in multicultural families? The participants were the spouses of foreign females who has been participating in social welfare programs provided by public or private organizations in the areas of Jeonnam, Jeonbuk, Kyungnam, Chungnam, Kyunggie and Seoul. I interviewed the participants either directly or indirectly through the helps of field workers using structured questionnaire. Data was analyzed by descriptive statistics, t-tests, correlation analysis and ANOVA. The Chronbach's alpha coefficients were calculated to determine the internal consistency of scales. Hierarchical regression analysis was performed to determine how much of the variance in MSS was accounted for by the independent variables. Variance inflation factors(VIF) were checked for potential multicollinearity between independent variables prior regression analysis. All VIF scores were less than 10, which suggests multicollinearity didn't exist between the independent variables. Data analysis using SPSS for Windows 12.0 ver. software showed major findings as follows. Most of the participants were in their forties with one child and have been married for 3-4 years. The majority of them were graduated from high schools(44.6%) and their occupations were farmers or fisherman(48.6%). The average monthly income was under ₩1,500,000, and they almost didn't have religions. Most of their spouses came from Vietnam and their Korean communicative ability was higher than the average. MSS in this study was affected by several demographic variables such as the participants' age, education level, marital years, occupation, monthly income and female's Korean communicative ability. The major study findings were summarized as the followings. First, among home culture coveyance, multicultural acceptance and cultural discrimination stress variables, home culture conveyance stress does not affect MSS, however, the rests of stress variables affect MSS. This means that Korean male spouses' MSS is high if they understand their foreign wives' cultures and accept cultural differences and if they feel the less sense of discrimination in their community. Secondly, between communicative ability variables each others, Korean male's ability is not significant. However, female's ability proves to be positively meaningful. This means that Korean male spouses' MSS is affected positively by foreign wives' understanding and encouraging. Thirdly, between social supporter and social support type variables, their family and friends support as well as information support affect Korean male spouses' MSS positively. This means that Korean male spouses are more affected by family's mental or emotional supports because Korea is a society under the traditional familial relationship. Also, this means that Korean male spouses like to be taken care of by the spouses' affection or emotional support and want information support which contains concrete offers or solving advices in their lives than economic or material support. Based on the study results, several social work implications were discussed. First, as I mentioned earlier, MSS among Korean male spouses was relatively high. From the strength-based perspective, filed workers who have a partnership with multicultural families must focus on developing social work skills which explore their resources in the community. Second, this study showed acculturative stress would affect MSS of Korean male spouses. It implies that we need to develop cultural diversity programs educating spouses' cultural backgrounds and teach them how to accept those cultural gaps. Finally, supports from families and friends among a variety of social supports significantly influenced MSS of Korean male spouses.
