This study gives an helpful suggestion to the multicultural famillies children after doing an investigation, focusing on the multicultural famillies children live in Iksan, Jeollabuk-do, that how the four factors(sociology of population, social psychology, societal support and dual-cultural factor) influence to the social adaptation.
The results of this study are summarized as followings.
The outcome of analyzing the influential factor of social adaptation(family adaptation, personnel adaptation, emotional adaptation) by multiple regression analysis can be explained in three parts. First, the result of analyzing influential factor of family adaptation shows that the ability of using Korean, positive emotion, support by teacher, support by family, support by friends and self-esteem toward the culture of mother's has a positive significant effect to the influential factor of family adaptation. In other words, the higher the ability of using Korean, positive emotion, support by teacher, support by family, support by friends and self-esteem toward the culture of mother, the higher the family adaptation.
Second, the result of the analyzing influential factor of personnel adaptation shows that positive emotion, support by teacher, support by family, support by friends, the degree of using Korean by mother, self-esteem toward the culture of mother's has a positive significant effect to the personnel adaptation. In other words, the higher the positive emotion, support by teacher, support by family, support by friends, the degree of using Korean by mother and self-esteem toward the culture of mother's, the higher the personnel adaption.
Third, the result of the analyzing influential factor of emotional adaptation shows that positive emotion, support by teacher, support by family and self-esteem toward the culture of mother's has a positive significant effect to the emotional adaptation. In other words, the higher the positive emotion, support by teacher, support by family and self-esteem toward the culture of mother's, the higher the emotional adaption.
According to this investigation the next four proposal can be suggested to give an assistance to make a multicultural famillies children's social adaptation higher.
First, a measure to improve the multicultural student's self-esteem and positive emotion should be arranged. Second, a measure to strengthen the social support toward the multicultural famillies children should be arranged. Third, a system that makes multicultural famillies children can practically use a dual-culture factors should be provided. Finally, a plan that makes multicultural student's social adaptation must not be dropped as they moved up to a higher grade should be offered.

본 연구는 전라북도 익산시에 거주하는 다문화가정 자녀들을 대상으로 조사를 실시하여 인구사회학적 요인, 사회심리적 요인, 사회적지지 요인, 이중문화 요인이 사회적응에 미치는 영향을 분석해 본 후, 다문화가정 자녀들의 사회적응에 도움이 될 수 있는 제언을 제시하고자 하였다.
본 연구를 통해서 얻어진 결과를 요약하면 다음과 같다.
다중회귀분석을 통한 사회적응(가족적응, 대인적응, 정서적응) 영향요인 분석결과를 살펴보면, 첫째, 가족적응 영향요인 분석결과, 한국어 능력, 긍정적 감정, 교사지지, 가족지지, 친구지지, 어머니 국가 문화에 대한 자긍심 모두 정적으로 가족적응에 유의미한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 즉 한국어 능력, 긍정적 감정, 교사지지, 가족지지, 친구지지, 어머니 국가 문화에 대한 자긍심이 높을수록 가족적응이 높아짐을 의미한다.
둘째, 대인적응 영향요인 분석결과, 긍정적 감정, 교사지지, 친구지지, 가족지지, 어머니의 한국어 사용 정도, 어머니 국가 문화에 대한 자긍심 모두 정적으로 대인적응에 유의미한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 즉 긍정적 감정, 교사지지, 친구지지, 가족지지, 어머니의 한국어 사용 정도, 어머니 국가 문화에 대한 자긍심이 높을수록 대인적응이 높아짐을 의미한다.
셋째, 정서적응 영향요인 분석결과, 긍정적 감정, 교사지지, 가족지지, 어머니 국가 문화에 대한 자긍심 모두 정적으로 정서적응에 유의미한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 즉 긍정적 감정, 교사지지, 가족지지, 어머니 국가 문화에 대한 자긍심이 높을수록 정서적응이 높아짐을 의미한다.
본 연구결과를 바탕으로 다문화가정 자녀의 사회적응을 높이는데 도움이 될 수 있는 제언을 제시하면 다음과 같다.
첫째, 다문화가정 자녀의 자긍심 및 긍정적 감정을 향상시킬 수 있는 방안이 마련되어야 하며, 둘째, 다문화가정 자녀에 대한 사회적 지지를 강화할 수 있는 방안이 마련될 필요가 있고, 셋째, 다문화가정 자녀가 이중문화 요인을 잘 활용할 수 있는 제도를 마련?제공할 필요가 있으며, 넷째, 학년이 올라가도 사회적응이 떨어지지 않도록 해줄 수 있는 방안이 마련될 필요가 있다.
