This study aims to find the effective on-site cultural education program for female marriage immigrant by assuming TV drama is an effective tool for it.
Since 2000, the number of female marriage immigrant has increased sharply, and so they came to the fore as major learners of Korean language education. However, we are short of various cultural education plans for them by now.
Therefore, it was judged that TV drama is a good tool for the cultural education plan by considering the learning environments of female marriage immigrant(insufficient time for study, lower financial power) in this study. Targeted learners for this study were selected from preliminary and intermediate levels in learning, by considering the connection with teaching material for female marriage immigrant, 『Korean language for female marriage immigrant』. Also, the criteria of TV dramas which could be used for the cultural education classes for them by organizing existing various selection criteria as well as its educational values, were established. As its result, there were 2 dramas were finally selected, “You who rolled in unexpectedly”, and “Women of our home”
In addition, examples of elementary and intermediate classes were given by establishing available teaching/learning plans for the real classes upon organizing education’s principles and existing teaching methods.
Summary of the study result by chapter is as follows: In chapter 1, needs of the cultural education for female marriage immigrant were defined, and the overall direction of this study was suggested upon the review on precedent studies.
In chapter 2, the significance of the cultural education for them as well as the verbal and cultural values of TV drama were reviewed, and it was made to be the basis of educational principles and methods in real classes after organizing precedent study results of them.
In chapter 3, “Culture” section of 『Korean language for female marriage immigrant』 were analyzed according to its subject and content, and needs analyses on cultural education and education materials over female marital migrants were conducted.
In chapter 4, drama selection criteria was suggested in order to provide actual classes. As its result, 2 dramas were finally selected, “You who rolled in unexpectedly”, and “Women of our home”, to demonstrate classes which are being taught by establishing new actual learning/teaching plans.
In chapter 5, the future study direction was suggested upon the significance and the limitations of this study.
This study is regarded as significant in terms of suggesting teaching methods which could be applied to real classes by organizing teaching models with TV dramas, based on understanding of its values in TV dramas selected for various cultural education plans.

본 연구는 TV드라마가 여성 결혼 이민자들을 대상으로 한 문화 교육 자료로 효과적으로 사용될 수 있다고 보고, 수업 현장에서 활용될 수 있는 문화 교육 방안을 모색하는 데 그 목적이 있다.
2000년대 들어 여성 결혼 이민자의 수가 급격히 증가하여 그로 인해 여성 결혼 이민자가 한국어 교육의 중요 학습자로 대두되고 있음에도, 그들을 위한 다양한 문화 교육 방안은 부족한 실정이다.
이에 본 연구에서는 여성 결혼 이민자들의 학습 환경(학습 시간 부족, 낮은 경제력)을 고려하여 문화 교육 방안의 일환으로 TV드라마를 활용하는 것이 좋다고 판단하였다.
학습 대상은 여성 결혼 이민자 대상 교재인 『여성 결혼 이민자와 함께하는 한국어』와의 연계성을 고려하여, 초·중급 단계 학습자를 대상으로 하였다. 또한 TV드라마가 가지는 교육적 가치 및 기존의 다양한 선정 기준을 정리하여 여성 결혼 이민자 대상 문화 수업에서 활용될 수 있는 TV드라마의 기준을 세웠으며, 이를 통해 주말드라마 “넝쿨째 굴러온 당신”과 일일드라마 “우리집 여자들” 총 두 편의 작품을 선정하였다.
또한 교육의 원리와 기존의 교수법을 정리하여 실제 수업에서 사용할 교수-학습 방안을 세워 초·중급 단계의 수업의 예시를 보여주었다.
연구 결과를 장별로 정리하면 다음과 같다. 1장에서는 여성 결혼 이민자 대상 문화 교육의 필요성을 밝히고, 선행 연구를 검토하여 본 연구의 전반적인 방향을 제시하였다.
2장에서는 여성 결혼 이민자를 위한 문화 교육의 의의와 TV드라마 활용이 가지는 언어 문화적 가치를 살펴보았으며, 기존에 연구된 문화 교육의 원리와 교수법 등을 정리해 후에 실제 수업에서 진행될 교육 원리와 방법을 세우는데 기초가 될 수 있도록 하였다.
3장에서는 여성 결혼 이민자 대상 교재인 『여성 결혼 이민자와 함께하는 한국어』의 “문화”편을 주제와 내용을 기준으로 분석하였으며, 실제 여성 결혼 이민자를 대상으로 문화 교육과 교육 자료 등에 대한 요구 조사를 실시하였다.
4장에서는 실제 수업을 진행할 수 있도록 드라마 선정 기준을 제시하고, 이에 따라 드라마 “넝쿨째 굴러온 당신”과 “우리집 여자들”을 선정하여 새로운 교육 원리와 방법으로 실제 학습 교수-방안을 세워 수업을 진행하는 과정을 보여주었다.
5장에서는 본 연구의 의의와 제한점을 제시한 후 향후 연구에 대해 제안하였다.
본 연구는 여성 결혼 이민자를 위한 다양한 문화 교육 방안 중 TV드라마를 선택하여 그 교육적 가치를 알아보고 TV드라마를 활용한 수업 모형을 정리하고 실제 수업에서 활용할 수 있는 수업 방법을 제안했다는 점에 의의를 둘 수 있다.
