최근 어학연수와 대학원 진학을 목적으로 한국으로 유학 오는 몽골인 학생들이 증가하고 있다. 이들 몽골 유학생들은 의사소통뿐만 아니라 여러 가지 문화적인 차이로 인해 어려움을 겪는다. 그러나 몽골 유학생들이 한국생활에 빨리 적응할 수 있도록 안내해 주는 책이 아직까지 개발되지 않은 실정이다.
이에 본 연구는 몽골인 유학생들이 초기 한국 생활에서 가장 먼저 접할 수 있는 일상적인 생활문화를 담은 한국어 교재를 개발하는 데 그 목적이 있다.
본고의 연구 과정은 다음과 같다.
첫째로, 최근에 한국에서 출판된 외국인을 위한 한국문화 교재인 「문화로 배우는 한국어 1ㆍ2」,「문화 속 한국어 1」,「외국인을 위한 한국 문화 길라잡이」,「외국인을 위한 한국 현대 문화」 등 총 5권의 교재를 분석하였다. 이들 교재의 단원 구성과 특성, 장단점을 살펴본 후에 교재에서 공통적으로 다루고 있는 주제가 무엇인지를 알아보았다.
둘째로, 대전 지역의 몽골인 유학생 50명을 대상으로 일상 생활문화 교재의 필요성, 한국생활 초기에 어려웠던 상황, 일상 생활문화 교재에서 다루어야 할 주제들을 조사하였다.
셋째로, 설문 조사 결과를 토대로 몽골 유학생을 위한 일상 생활문화 교재의 단원을 구성하였다. 교재의 실제 내용은 몽골 유학생이 한국에 처음 도착해서 유학 생활을 하면서 겪게 되는 다양한 상황들로 본문을 구성하였다.
본 연구를 통해 얻어진 결론은 다음과 같다.
첫째, 몽골 유학생을 위한 일상 생활문화 교재가 필요하다.
둘째, 초기 유학생들에게 가장 필요한 일상 생활문화는 집 구하기, 대중교통 이용하기, 공공기관 이용하기, 식사 예절과 한국 음식의 종류, 수업 시간에 발표하기, 수강 신청하기, 강의 듣기, 여가 생활과 한국의 관광지 소개 등으로 나타났다.
셋째, 외국인 유학생들에게는 한국 전통 문화보다는 한국의 현대문화, 그 중에서도 기초적인 일상 생활문화를 배울 수 있는 교재가 실용적이다.
앞으로 몽골 유학생들의 전공 분야에 맞는 교재 개발 및 학문적인 연구가 활발하게 이루어질 필요가 있다.

Most Mongolian students who come to Korea face the difficulties of cultural difference other than language problems. Even students who already learned Korean in Mongolia gets into such problems. The reasons behind that are differences in contents of the textbooks they used in Mongolia and the modern Korean lifestyle which is changing rapidly.
The hardest thing for students who came to Korea to study is adapting to Korean lifestyle. The purpose of this research is writing a handbook for Mongolian students who are coming to study in Korea and who also wish to study in Korea, to give them sufficient information about adapting to Korean life.
As a part of this research, polls were given to 50 students who are studying at universities and colleges of Daejeon City of Korea. In addition to that, the handbooks on Korean lifestyle for foreign students were being analyzed.
The construction of the research follows as:
In first chapter, previous research was being examined, in addition to explaining purpose, advantages and research method of the research.
The second chapter explains purpose and necessities of studying Korean. It also includes the main features of Korean everyday life and study of the Korean lifestyle which was explained theoretically.
In third chapter, handbooks on Korean lifestyle were analyzed to point out differences, sameness and, advantages and disadvantages of those books.
Fourth chapter of this research tells common difficulties in everyday life for new students, based on the poll result from 50 students.
In fifth chapter, contents of the book and sample chapter “Finding an apartment” were shown, which were drawn from the results of the poll.
